“ I loveeeee this market. It's got everything you want in a small Japanese market. I normally go to Mitsuwa but it's quite far and we were in the area so I checked it out and no complaints. My partner and I both got bento boxes I got the beef sukiyaki and he got the chicken karaage they were both delicious and tasted so fresh. The melon pan was so delicious and I need to come back just for that. If you're in the area check this spot out for fresh Japanese food on the go. They even provide a microwave for you to heat your food. ”
“ The place is tiny BUT has a TON of things that you may want to restock on. I personally came here to rebuy a Japanese shampoo that I originally bought in Japan. Of course there is an upcharge for imported goods but nothing that will discourage you from purchasing from here.. They have plenty of dishes in their prepared food section. The food actually looked delicious and was reasonably prices. The produce was beautiful and well stocked. You can tell they buy from quality buyers. Service is overall standard and friendly for a grocery store. It's pretty small so I wouldn't expect to have your entire needs bought from here. I'd come back but if you're looking for something very specific (in terms of alcohol) , you may want to try elsewhere. Parking is available at an additional cost in a underground parking structure. There's also a ton of street parking meters. ”
“ Nijiya sells top quality products . I love all the Asian items I can't at my local generic grocery store. Sweet bean soft buns I usually get for breakfast before work down the street at Maru____ Udon . Last week I get the power breakfast of their spicy tuna roll. A few months ago, they had beautiful katsuo (skipjack tuna) . Even though it might have been previously frozen it was soooo delicious.... Their sushi is some of the BEST in this city. ”
“ Small Japanese market located in the heart of Sawtelle. The ladies at the counter always very friendly and the people here are very helpful with what you need to find. The place is not huge, but it pretty much has everything that you need. I actually enjoy getting the prepared sushi or other food items here. I don't usually get these type of items, grocery stores or markets. Also a great place to find Japanese snacks or candies. I know personally I stopped by for these items from time to time. My last visit I took my brother's family here to get some snacks for the road. For the area in general parking can be tough. There is a lot, but it gets really crowded. I will typically park a couple blocks away when going to other places in the area and when I stop here. ”
“ This market is always a treat whenever I go to Sawtelle Ave. There is free parking in front of the Market and you can drive downstairs into the structure. It does get pretty crowded though. The ambiance is fun and the aisles are orderly but can be a bit hectic with busy shoppers as there is so much inside. The checkout service was so nice and she made sure to have all of my sushi and everything else wrapped perfectly in different bags. This compact Japanese market pretty much has it all. Cosmetics, fresh sushi, all kinds of produce, sweets, chips, drinks and basically almost anything you can think of. The fresh sushi is quite good and they also have a lot of to go noodle and sandwich items. Lots of neat Japanese home items too...and If you can't find what you need here there's always DAISO next door. ”
“ First time coming here and left with a few delicious goodies! I was very impressed with the ready made food section. So many different options!! This store has a little bit of everything from fresh produce to frozen foods to snacks and meat. Checkout was quick and simple. Employee was friendly and courteous. Will be coming back! ”
“ I love stopping by at this market to pick up a quick lunch! I've never had a problem with the sushi and it always tastes good and the prices are great for the quality! ”
“ Great and reasonably priced place for sushi, sashimi and rolls. We picked up sashimi platter and a few avocado rolls and minced tuna rolls. Very fresh and tasty! ”
